Hello everyone! I just want to say thank you! Thank you for being in prayer and encouragement for my team and me. I want you to know that without prayer we could not be doing what we are doing. Yes there is grace for us to move in the Lord, but without asking, how can you receive? I also wanted to let ya'll know that I've been fully funded!-even though my fundraising bar still isn't complete, I have indeed reached the goal. Thank you again.
“Yes, we've been here before, in the calm before the storm, where we're leaving what we know, and we're setting off the shore, and we're picking up our feet, and we're moving out the door, and we can't escape the need to follow.” (Calm Before the Storm, United Pursuit)
Wow, I am so grateful to be writing to you all once again. I’m sitting here in an interesting time of the in-between. Since August, we’ve been training, uniting in teams, and traveling to Kentucky. We are now four days from leaving the country. It’s been full of intensity, challenge, and love. Intensity because of the fast pace and quick turns. Challenge because of vulnerability and being brought to the light. And love because of the mission of what we’re going toward with each other.
I’ve never been in such a place where I haven't felt like myself. “Picking up our feet and moving out the door” This is a verse in the song above that I can only use to describe what I feel like. This place of having my feet picked up and not walking where I maybe think I should walk-of not being able to rely on my own understanding or talents or gifts. But the Lord picking up my feet and showing the secure places to walk in with Him. Places where I have to rely on His grace alone. Of course, it’s going to be uncomfortable, it's walking in faith. But He’s faithful to finish what He alone has started. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. -Philippians 1:6.
This has been a season of extraordinary gratitude and a realization of the Lord’s grace and love toward us. With receiving it freely we will now go give it away. Freely.
We Leave for Cambodia on the 14th of October!-More detailed updates coming soon.
The prayers that I ask for are a peaceful transition and acclimation in traveling. Confidence and faith in the Lord to walk where He wants us to walk. A preparation of the hearts of those we will be connecting with.
