Hello and welcome to my Blog Page.

My name is Zach Flowers and I am officially a World Racer. It has been a process to get here, but now that I am here I couldn’t be more excited. God has been overly gracious in my life and I could never thank him enough.

So a little about me. I grew up in a small town of a few thousand people in central Illinois. Ever since I was a little boy all I knew and cared about was God’s creation-the great outdoors. Since I can remember, fishing was the favorite activity of mine and still is to this day. I think the reason I’m so obsessed with it is the fact that it’s a new challenge every time I get to cast the lure (and that here’s only a few things to do for fun in the flatlands of Illinois). The other thing I love about it is that you never know what you’ll reel in at the end of the line. There are all kinds of different species that are different sizes, shapes, colors, and strengths.

One of my favorite verses is Matthew 4:19. In the short and simple verse, Jesus says, “Come, follow me and I will send you out to fish for people.” This statement has stuck with me since the day I first read it as simple as it is. I can now look back at how Jesus was intimately teaching me to be a fisher of all people, which I now know is my true purpose in this short life.

Over the past few years of my early adulthood, Jesus has been molding me and showing me how to be a true disciple of him. From the intense adversity during a playoff football game or the conversations with my friends around a campfire, or even to the past year traveling, adapting, and meeting with people that showed me truly what I am capable of in the following of his true and perfect will.

I have found that my true passion is to watch, see, and experience where my creator wants to take me next to serve his kingdom. So, for the opportunity to travel across the world to not only serve him but to intimately work with him and his Holy Spirit is the biggest opportunity I could take a hold of in my life right now.

I thank the World Race for making it possible and am excited to be partners with them in the furthering of the kingdom of God.
